The story:

The locomotive, better known as a compressed air locomotive, was eventually used for heavy transport to increasingly remote extraction sites after manpower and horsepower.

Compressed air locomotives were used for various tasks in mines, such as transporting miners and material, pulling coal cars from the work fronts to the main shafts, and moving material within the mines themselves. The compressed air locomotive can pull 60 full coal wagons with a capacity of 1 ton. Beringen initially opted for safe compressed air locomotives for which a special high-pressure pipeline was installed.
