The artisanal cheese factory “De Vierhoekshoeve” in Gijzenzele created a cheese based on Kompel Bovengronds. Most beer cheeses are submerged in beer and washed with beer. For the Kompel beer cheese the blond beer is incorporated in the cheese (curd). This cheese contains 22% beer. In addition to the Kompel Bovengronds beer cheese there is also a beer pâté.
